Dang, Denim on Denim.

Ah, denim. My dearest friend. Even in the deliciously agonizing Texas summer heat, I still wear denim religiously. And as frequently as I wear denim, I wear denim on denim. Yes, I know the Canadian Tuxedo isn't for everyone but she is my friend, and I swear by her. Especially when I can whip out these babies. I picked up these Free People flares on a whim back in early January, and have been wearing them all the time since. There's something about a jean that isn't a skinny that makes me feel a little bit more powerful.

Pair that up with this vintage denim button-down I inherited from my mom, and you've got a whole look. Besides one more top stolen from my mom is one less that ends up in a landfill. It's a win, win situation.

April Favorites, Kind of.

Okay, let's first address the elephant in the room, this post is oh so late. We are 15 days into May so technically this is just a what I'm loving currently post rather than an April Favorites, I hope that's still cool.

First up, Hoops! I've been on the biggest hoop kick lately, and I kind of want every pair I see. There's something about a hoop earring that makes every outfit seem just a little bit more effortless, and casual which has definitely been my look of choice as it's begun to warm up. They're also, in my opinion, the most versatile earring, with a variety of thickness, shapes, and colors there's a hoop for everyone.  But if I had to choose just a few, I'd highly recommend these and these

Next are my glasses! I took to Instagram a few days ago to show off the new frames I just picked up. Though I only wear my glasses part-time, I'm still really picky about the frame I choose. Glasses like any other accessory really has the ability to make or break your look. My frames are the Blocks style from EyeBuyDirect. Basically, if you wear glasses and haven't heard of EyeBuyDirect I'm about to change your life. My glasses including my lens were under 20 dollars. You're welcome.

And lastly, Flux! Okay so if you've been hanging out for awhile you'll know that I mentioned this book in a post last winter, Well, because I've been so busy and albeit a little lazy I'm just getting around to reading this book. If you haven't heard of it, Flux is a poetry book by the online influencer, Orion Carloto. It's a series of poems about falling in love, heartbreak and every rollercoaster of emotions in between. It's truly mesmerizing.

And there you have it, a sneak peek into what I'm into right now.
Until next time,
Autumn
