How I Stay In Shape In College

Let me start this post with a massive disclaimer. I am in no way citing what I do as the end all be all because I am not the world's most fit person, and still have so much further to go on my "fitness journey." Alright, that said on to the post.

Like many people, I have a weird relationship with working out. Some weeks I feel incredibly motivated and want to work out all the time. Then there are weeks I can barely drag my butt out of bed to go to class. Both of these things are okay.

What I Do

I've learned that for me the best way to combat this feeling is to make sure whatever workout I'm doing holds me accountable to some degree. If I'm not going to work out with a friend, I'm headed to a class.

Because I often get a little bit bored going to the same class over and over, I decided to ask for a ClassPass membership for Christmas. So thanks to my wonderful aunt, I've been using ClassPass for about a month now. And let me tell y'all, I love it. It's so much fun to have this incredible versatility in my workout each week. If I want to do something tough, I can head to a pilates class or if I've had a hard week and need a more relaxing workout I can opt for a soothing yoga class.

There's a couple of different levels of membership options so that you can find one that works with your budget or schedule. I'm currently using the mid-tier one.

What I Wear

Honestly, one of the most fun parts about working out for me is getting dressed to go. I've finally gotten comfortable wearing a crop top to the gym so it's been pretty fun finding cute ones to style. I've especially fallen in love with this striped one from VS Pink. It's long enough that I can pair it with high-waisted leggings and not feel like I'm wearing too much skin. When I'm not wearing a crop top, I'll usually opt for something like what I'm wearing above. Close fitting and a bit longer. Like this long-sleeve pullover from pink or a long tank with pretty great coverage. I've been opting for barre classes pretty frequently, and it helps to have a top that covers the booty.

Hopefully, this post was helpful in sharing how I've been trying to keep fit with my busy college schedule. It's been tough, but definitely well worth it.

Until Next Time,

disclaimer: I was gifted these products from VS Pink.
