Autumn's Adventures in the Kitchen: Banana Bread





Though I've never shared this on my blog, I found a deep love for cooking and baking. This year I've learned all sorts of recipes and even made cupcakes from scratch. I grew up watching the women in my family create pure magic in the kitchen, and was always in awe of how they used food to bring people together. After a year of living alone, I feel like the cooking bug has finally bit me. So today, I thought I'd share this super easy banana bread recipe with y'all. Not only is it absolutely delicious but it takes less than 30 minutes to prep. The hardest part is truly waiting for it to be done baking, and ready to eat.

Ingredients 



First things, first what will you need for this recipe?

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder 
1/2  teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2-3 medium bananas)
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips



Steps to bake


Step One: In a large bowl combine 1 cup of the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step Two: Add mashed bananas, butter, and milk. Beat until blended.
Step Three: Add remaining flour, eggs, and chocolate chips.
Step Four: Pour batter into an 8x4x2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees until you can stick a toothpick in it and it comes out clean.
Step Five: Let cool for 10 minutes.
Step Six: Wrap & store overnight.
Step Seven: Enjoy!
